UFC giving Shogun the Title Shot because

If Shogun wins it provides Forrest a fast track back to the title. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it but i'm willing to bet that if Forrest didnt have a win over Rua we would not be seeing shogun get the next title shot.

gangsta101 - Coleman beats Bonnar

LOL @ you for thinking 2 things

1) Coleman beats Bonnar, he doesnt

2) if Coleman somehow DOES beat Bonnar, that automatically gives him a title shot.. ? I dont think so

RAMPAGE VS. RASHAD ='S SHOGUN TITLE SHOT.....WHICH EQUALS , ANOTHER PPV PAYDAY UNTIL RAMPAGE AND RASHAD GET THE WINNER $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

bad idea to put shogun aginst machida at this point. The whole TUF thing fucked up everything. Could have had rampage v shogun for the title first

by the way, i guess this is why Chuck said he was one win away from a tittle fight if he came out on top over shogun. it was probably known for a while at that Rashad and Rampage would be doing tuf, but at the time people just thought that chuck was over-elevating himself in the tittle picture.

Jons Forsberg - I like how people act like Shogun is such an easy fight Machida... yeah he is a complete can right?

Thiago Silva has a lot of similarities with shogun. A very open, aggressive approach, willingness to transition, sometimes sloppy but backed up with quickness and power.
I dont think that Shogun is going to come out so drastically different that he is going to catch machida off guard.

LOOLOLOLOL

Yes i am sure dana switching everything around to get forrest back as champ.

Get real. Shogun gets the shot because he was considered number 1 in the world, Dropped his first fight in UFC and after two knee surgeries, and just had a dominant win over liddel.

Plus Dana knows Rampage doesn't match up well with Machida so he wants to milk Quinton on the TUF show versus Rahsad before the inevitable meeting with Lyoto.

Shogun vs Machida is actually an intriguing fight, IMO.

I think the title shot is a little too soon for Shogun, but there aren't many title worthy opponents at the moment, so whatever.

I'd like to see how their striking meshes and what each would do to solve the others.

Shogun vs MAchida is a very intriguing fight, like i said im glad Shogun is getting a title shot I just think the UFC, as always, has a few ulterior motives

Coleman vs Machida at the Staples Center in LA.
