UFC Lawsuit Update?

Any news on the lawsuit?

It seems to have dropped out of discussion.

Does it stand a chance of working or was it all smoke and mirrors?

*Genuine questions

There are multiple suits.  The newest was filed in late March.

More suits than McGregor's lost luggage eh?

Kidding.  Kidding.

Someone on another board point out that the Reebok Deal is a very good way (deliberate or not) of forcing fighters to head off to fight in other organisations, which in turn fixes the Lawsuit.

Thoughts?

This is a formality.

If it is ratified (not sure when that is) it becomes a massive deal.

Best case scenario, millions in legal fees at that point.

The contracts are too restrictive. So, the REEBOK deal is actually terrible for ZUFFA'S position.

Whether fighters leave or not, the Reebok deal has battered UFC fighter morale. Not every fighter directly suffers, but overall the selfish basis and, in turn, repercussions speak volumes.

The recent chatter of Zuffa attempting to sell also speaks volumes. A long list of reasons could be given but one of the top reasons has to be the inevitable organizing of fighters. Zuffa can't stand that idea so much it continues to fight behind the For Sale sign all while ramping up efforts to burn its assets. The Reebok deal, for example.

to quote McGregor, "It's a tree piece suit"

From this thread (notably Golden Boy's post):
FRB saying rumor UFC may be up for sale

Dont know for sure if this is about the lawsuit but Jon Fitch just twittered , "in court" and Quarry retwittered so it might be.

Looks like that is the reason Jon is in court. I believe its to decide where this is to be held, Cali, or Nevada
