They probably have to sign a contract to be an intern for 8 months and the UFC can let them go after the internship period. It's not a job, it's an opportunity.
To get into a highly desired position, you have to compete against 15 other interns for it. Once a week, one intern squares off against another intern in a fax off. Winner moves on to the next round. Over all winner gets a 7 figure a year ($40,000.00) contact to work for the ufc.
