With the UFC being the largest MMA body, and still actively recruiting fighters, how can they provide work for all of these fighters to keep them happy/interested.
These are just rough guesstimations and the breakout is not uniform across all weight classes:
-Approximately 210 UFC fighters(taken from the website)
- 12 PPV's, 3 or 4 (+/-) Fight night Live's, 3 or 4 other events= 20(+/-) events per year.
- Maybe 10 fights per event.
Comes to 200 fights per year. Barring injury, most fighter like to fight at least 2x per year, some like 4x, so lets call it 3x per year.
At what point does the UFC either cut back it's roster to let the fighters fight more, or start doubling the amount of events that it provides??
When will fighters start losing interest in fighting for the "Biggest/Best" if they can only fight once a year or once every 18 months?

Does the list of fighters include WEC guys?
Honestly, I don't know. I didn't even think of that.
I just noted that there were 5 pages of fighters, counted 50 fighters per page on pages 1-4 and 11 on page 5.
I'm just kind of playing with round numbers and assumptions.

The website's not a good indication of fighters who are actually under contract.
Evan Tanner is still listed on the roster

^^Why the UFC CAN'T be synonymous with worldwide MMA. It's too limiting to fans and fighters.
