UFC selling mega-wolf tickets on Weidman

Weidman is gonna get destroyed. The octagon is gonna look like the crime scene from the wonderland murders.

ttt

"I wasn't talking about the elbow or Munoz's striking I meant how Weidman handled Munoz on the ground. "

And how is that relevant to Anderson? Munoz doesnt have a traditional bjj game, he scrambles out of situations and wins with G&P, he couldnt do that against a better wrestler so he was helpless on the ground

Since you discount the Maia fight, how about when Alessio Sakara swept Weidman from the bottom? other than cutting him with an elbow, Weidman couldnt do shit on the ground and Sakara got back to his feet multiple times (despite having a broken foot)

Weidmans MMA wrestling is not as good as Chaels, he wont take Anderson down as easily. And even though Chael quick taps to subs, he does take punches to the face like a man, dont know if Weidman does since he hasnt earned his dues in MMA yet, Anderson will be his baptism by fire

The biggest Wolf Ticket I ever saw was for Anderson's last fight

He always powers through his subs, never twists the grip or torques the body, just straight power and he doesnt set his subs up he catches them during scrambles. Phone Post

No wolf tickets here, standard approach.

Weidman has earned his shot, and it only makes sense that they hype him as capable of beating the champion, just like they have every championship fight in history whether valid or not.

The bookies have Weidman at about the +200 range, and they have no agenda other than providing accurate odds. A 2:1 underdog sounds about right, and I'm giving Weidman the best odds out of the last several opponents Silva has faced.

How is beating munoz earning a title shot? Belfort is walking through top level dudes atm he has done more than Weidman has in the MW division. By comparison, its silly that Weidman got the shot. You are literally buying into the hype my friend, it is really sad to see people throwing away money on him. Phone Post

wooof tickets

They even have other fighters helping to hype this fight lol

Tebow Worships Satan - I downloaded Weidman's last 5 fights and just finished watching 4 of them.

This kid isn't beating Anderson Silva. He's okay, but they're trying to hype him up to be the Gennady Golovkin of the UFC and he definitely isn't I don't understand the hype around him at all. I'm glad I got to see the fights before I saw that commercial because if I didn't I would of probably ordered the show.

After watching Weidman's fight with Munoz I'm confident Weidman is able to sub Anderson or TKO him with GNP.

I wouldn't be surprised if Weidman lost. Anderson Silva is amazing. Wouldn't be shocked if Weidman get's KO'd, but he has the best chance to defeat Anderson since at least Henderson. Weidman is a real threat to Anderson.

No disrespect to Munoz but didn't Maia of all people out class him on the feet?

Watching the Munoz fight didn't tell me a thing. Watching Weidman against Maia told me a lot of things, and I mean a lot of things that leads me to believe he is dead meat. If Weidman has the best chance against him since Henderson then boy does that really speak about Anderson's weak resume more than Weidman's chances. Phone Post

Weidman took the Maia fight on like 10 day notice and cut over 25 pounds in that time. I don't think that fight accurately shows us the best of Chris Weidman. Plus Maia is still one of the best grapplers/submission specialists in 170/185 pounds and Weidman won a convincing decision. Maia is no joke. There's a reason Anderson Silva ran from him for 5 rounds.

Ran from him, it was a shitty boring tactic but silva was mocking maia Phone Post

The term "wolf tickets" is already getting extremely old and lame. Phone Post 3.0

Really?

Megatherium - I think Weidman is for real. Gonna be a helluva fight I reckon. Weidman might actually win, Ando is 38 years old now, remember.
Silva being 38 years old doesn't mean shit, it is clearly not a factor in the fight he has shown no signs of slowing down. That dude is light years ahead of people skills wise. His physical intelligence is outstanding, being 38 really doesn't matter man. Phone Post 3.0

being 38 most definitely matters. It is very likely that Anderson is not going to go out gracefully. Great chance that he is going to go out like top-flight strikers before him, taking beatings against opponents that wouldn't have had a chance against him during his prime years.

Elite strikers look good, until they don't. They age overnight, because 1/2 step lost is the difference between slipping a punch and a brutal KO, and the difference between crushing a jaw and getting nothing but air.

Except Silva is about 3-steps ahead of nearly every opponent he has faced in the UFC.

Which means he could lose a 1/2-step and still whoop their ass Matrix-style.

as I said, 1/2 step is the difference between slipping and a KO.
