Yesterday on mmaweeklyradio Ryan Bennett called Joe Silva to see If they thought about having Ken Shamrock as a TUF coach. BUT he said "that never crossed our mind"
I'm like, huh? IF ZUFFA/SPIKETV has brains, they need to use Ken Shamrock as a coach. Even Trigg said "he's a great coach and a great trainer."
Ken would be the perfect coach for the next season. When the common person hears the words ultimate fighting they think of Ken Shamrock. Bottomline his name sells!!!!
Tank and Ken as coaches. Ken was gunning for Tank a long time and never had that fight. That would be a good show cap, the Tank vs Ken match that never happened. And it would be hard to pack more personality into a show. Tank's team might have it a little easier on the training regimen and we can see how big a difference that makes.
Completely agree. Let's face it, TUF is simply there to grab viewers and get some good TV ratings; and like him or hate him, Ken is a ratings machine. Great for TV.
"Rashad, I have a little something for ya to wear out to the Finals. Remember, your a warrior !" - Ken as Rashad's coach, giving him the purple cape for the Finals.
Honestly, I would be completely intrigued as to what Tank would consider to be coaching. Tell me that ain't ratings!!! BTW, I've actually met the man and he was really easy going and cool. I was surprised.
I actually think having someone like Tank,Ken, Joe Rogan, or some B-Level Celeb with some Martial Arts training would be great as a contestant.(Lorenzo Lamas or Bonaduce)
How funny would Tank be in the house for 12 weeks ? How about on the treadmill challenge ? What if he actually got into shape and learned some skills ?
