Ok Maldonado is a great boxer who trains under the Nog brothers. I'm very happy to see him get his shot with the UFC, how ever i'm now very confused... Cacareco subbed him in 27 seconds of rd one but hasn't been give a shot.. Please tell me what i'm missing here???

I can´t understand why the UFC signs with Maldonado and leaves one of the best 205lb in the world (Alexandre Cacareco) unsigned ...

Cacareco's heel hook on Hinkle at the GFC was a thing of beauty.

Looking forward to seeing him at UFC 120, anyone that has the potential to knock the absolute shit out of James McSweeney will be getting my support that night.

McSweeney is a great guy.. Dont let that tuf character fool you. And now that hes at LHW hes gonna knock the shit out of Fabio. You heard it here first folks! ( so said the 10er) Phone Post

Do you know him personally ? Is he aware he didn't do himself any favours with the way he came across on the show -i.e. An arrogant bully with a very high opinion of himself and a very average record ?

Obviously my opinion is based on TUF and interviews/comments attributed to him since the show ended.

doesnt make sense to me Ron...

There is Always a bad guy on tuf. And a lot of editing and hard work goes into making these normal guys look like d bags. Plus the tuf house is no cake walk. your stuck in a house with a bunch of guys u may fight, a lot of booze, a lot of money on the line and you have no idea whats going on in the world around you. That alone can take a once "nice" guy. And turn him into said dbag. But this is what some guys that do have "average" records have to go through to make it to the ufc. Anyway think what you may, a good outlet to get a feel for some of these guys is through twitter. James is always on there tweeting about training and responding to both fans and haters.

 Ronaldo,

I would guess the answer to your question is that Maldonado is on Team Nogueira, he's an exciting striker, he's got an 80% finishing percentage, and has won 10 straight since getting kneebarred by Cacareco.

As we both know, Cacareco is a straight up nightmare match-up for anyone; nothing to gain because he's relatively unknown, but as dangerous as they come.

It really is a fucking shame that no one will even give the dude a shot.

This is 5'7" light-heavyweight Cacareco taking on arguably MMA's best HW submission fighter, 6'4" 240 lbs Fabricio Werdum, in the 2003 ADCC absolute:

!0w - 1L over the last 5 years, 17 of his 18 win have come by sub, The only fighting to take him the distance is UFC HW Heath Herring.... 94 percent finish rate, for sure one of the best fighters in the game.

And out of 42 fights, Herring has only been finished by:  A prime Nog, Mirko, and Fedor.

I was told by a certain promotion that his fights were to quick and they needed to see more of his Striking game... Sorry he is not a Fitch, Shields, Korad, Maynard he just likes to get the job done as quickly as possible. Sorry he is not a Spider Silva , Vitor Belfort, Thiago Alves on the feet either but he is a finisher and that should be most important. No disrepect is intended towards the fighters i named.

 Hopefully his time comes soon.

TTT for

Maldonado

 Awesome.

How are things going Ron?

 Kingsbury is gonna murder him

If kingsbury can't wrestle him Maldonado will have his way with him. Phone Post

Kingsbury got killed by Tony Lopez in one round.  Maldonado wins this.
