The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced a new multi-year broadcast agreement with Fox Sports Asia, ahead of its return to the region this weekend.

Under the deal, the pan-regional broadcaster will air over 40 live events each year as well as additional programming such as magazine shows and archived events.

Fox Sports has also acquired the exclusive rights to the UFC’s reality series, The Ultimate Fighter, in the 15 territories covered in the deal, including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Pacific Islands.

“The opportunity to have our premier content available to over 55 million viewers will continue to foster the growth of the UFC brand and the sport of MMA across the region,” Joe Carr, UFC’s senior vice president of international and content, said in a statement.

“Fox Sports’ extensive reach and marketing muscle will help further entrench UFC as the leading MMA promotion in Asia and engage with our valued fans across Southeast Asia.”

The deal with Fox Sports is the second Asian TV agreement announced by the UFC this week, following Wednesday’s renewal with RS Thailand.

The UFC claims to be the number one provider of MMA television content across Asia. Citing a study it commissioned research firm Futures Sport + Entertainment to conduct, the promotion says it surpasses all local MMA promotions in the region in terms of hours viewed, with 26 times the number of hours compared to ONE Championship, the next largest series.
