I’m surprised it’s taken so long considering like 2/3 of the UFC involves gay sports like wrestling and jiu-jitsu.

So how can the UFC lose by taking this stance?

Plus, at least compared with other sports, race is not much of an issue in MMA (otherwise, how can a certain black fighter have at least one devoted white fan - and there is no need to mention the name of either! LOL), so why should religion or sexual orientation be much of an issue either?

This is true. Lots of gay women in the sport. They are sweating bleeding and puking in training too. It absolutely makes sense to support them.
