I don't know that they'd ever consider it, but now would be a great time to have a Pride-style total elimination LHW tournament. Rank these guys 1-16 and let them go at it! How many PPV's would this card sell, even if they upped the price?

(4) Wanderlei Silva vs. (13) Thiago Silva;

(6) Forrest Griffin vs. (11) Rashad Evans;
(7) Houston Alexander vs. (10) Lyoto Machida;
(8) Keith Jardine vs. (9) Tito Ortiz;

Those are my rankings, taking into account the whole picture, but so many guys are close enough that any number of combinations are acceptable.

That would be incredible. I wouldn't even care if they spread it out and never had more than 1 fight in a night.

Don't give them any ideas. Much like everything else in the world, they raise the price, and it will stay up as long as they can keep it there.

Those rankings were the best that I could come up with in about 5 minutes with no research. Nobody here claims to be as good as YOU at ranking fighters.

while it's a great idea in theory, the UFC will continue to put out 20 or so watered down card per year at $39.99 a pop....it's nice to dream though

I say keep those same 16 (replacing nakaruma with bisping) and just draw names out of a hat. dont 'seat' anyone. THAT would make it interesting and great

dawley, i love your idea of just pulling names out of hat, yeah screw the seeding stuff, there was thread just the other day about 205 divison and i said the same thing bravebull said, except i said 8 man tourny, i like his idea better 16 man tourny, i agree spread it out over 2-4 ufc's with final4 and championship being the last one, it would break all sorts of mma ppv

Yes, seed/seat...or whatever. I appreciate it Ramon Maroni....it just makes everything as fair as possible. randomly draw the names. Nobody can say anything....just imagine if you had rampage/forrest to fight the winner of wand/chuck...thats just nuts. It maybe Tito draws bisbing...you just dont know.

Forget lhw,they have a legit champ. Do a heavy tourney with Nog, Gonzaga, AA, Sylvia, Werdum, Kongo, Coleman, Munson. Don't know if you could have a 16 man, you'd have to pit top 8 seeds against bottom to be fair. Just make sure Sylvia has to beat Nog, Gonzaga and whoever he matches up poorly against.

jpm995, you kinda have a point. but id soooo rather see a tourney at either LHW or WW, imo. Maybe even LW too.
