ufc wastes airtime again

oooh great plan, show a summary of the marathon of shows they had on today, instead of the 5 or so prelim bouts! yippeee!

Yeah, but that's Zuffa for you.

On the one hand i can understand why; people who might be tuning in for the first time need to know what went down.

buut... Cmon... the fights are so much more exciting and important.

Also, Goldy is gettin reeaal repetitive. :\

No shit, I would rather see all the fights, are they even gonna show any besides the main one's?

Jesus christ, change the channel and quit whinin.

You gotta realize this isn't in front of 50,000 of the normal ppv fans, this is out there for everyone and they are without a doubt doing what they need to do. The show is 2.5 hours (please correct me if i'm wrong) and they have 3 live fights plus possible 'undercard' highlights.

Come on guys, this shit is fuckin great!!!!

Crack a beer or 7 and fucking enjoy it!! What the hell else would you be watchin tonight?

yeah, it'll just take them awhile..... really lame.

It's 8:22, and Goldy has said "spike TV" "Cox pavillion" "TUF Ultimate Finale" like 10 times.

Based upon the marketing that ufc and spike has been doing, and also on interviews with dana white, they're expecting to get alot of new viewers to watch the finals. As a result, these new viewers may not know the background of the show and what has happened up untill the finals.
I'd rather see the fights too but that may explain why they did it this way.

"As a result, these new viewers may not know the background of the show and what has happened up untill the finals."

Wow, somebody who knows what the fuck they're talking about. People, just showing 7 fights with no backstory would be senseless if you're expecting a record rating. Sensibly, if the viewership hits a new high on the last show, that means the new viewers haven't seen the show.

can they show Leben more though?

Exactly

That's the funny part. We've all been waiting for mainstream (i fuckin hate that word) notoriety and now we have it, yet there are still the whiny bitches. Stick with spongebob.

well its been 1.25 hours and weve seen 3 minutes of fighting

GREAT SHOW-but no thanks to Zuffa and Dana. The credit goes to the fighters. The other fights werent even mentioned. They could have showed all 9 fights with the time they aired.
That said, classy move with 3 contracts. Bet Kflo feels crappy though.

best ever? no. but at least i wasnt paying for commercials like the ppv events. now eat balls

I never liked Goldberg, but now I hate him. "The stars are out tonight!"

Instead of seeing the guy from Entourage talking to his buddy 60 times, how about showing some of the prelims, all but one of which ended in the first round?

so the prelims - most went under 2 minutes. they coulda shown us most..... i m certain viewers would rather see exciting fights than filler

Yeah, it was on "free" tv. So why not show as many fights and or
highlights as they could.

Showing clips of the prelims, which all ended in a ko expect one, can't
be a bad thing.

Ya, it was kinda killer to try and sit through. The group of people I watch with area all casual fans and they where bored to tears in between fights. Forrest/Bonner saved the day.

I don't understand the filler they ran on Diego and Forrest AFTER their fights were over. there was no need to hype them anymore - show us some higlights from the prelims or at least tell us the results and interview some of the fighters live while we wait for Shammy and Franklin to make their entrance.

Ya, that part didn't make sense.
