UFC's first attempt at N.American PrideFC Event

Pretty stoked about 129. I think Toronto is going to be an electric audience although this could backfire bigtime if Shields wins an underserved decision (not taking anything from Jake, awesome fighter nonetheless). The only irk is the mostly US vs Canada format, leaves alot of other international fighters off this card, but Zuffa should have Akiyama sing the Canadian national Anthem to kick off the event (at least Japan is somewhat repped).

how is this a PRIDE FC event?

wtf?

can't wait

It's a stadium show.

UFC has never had a stadium show.

Nearly all of PRIDE FC's big shows were stadium shows. They knew how to do it.

A UFC show scaled up to a stadium would be pretty bad.

Therefore, UFC might/should take lessons from how PRIDE FC ran stadium shows.

UFC 99 at Abu Dhabi:

lol who the fuck wants to go to that

stuck in there with fifty thousand loud sweaty annoying douchebags watching what is essentially going to look like two small white ants lying on top of each other fiddling around

Thank you for understanding that this is the UFC's 1st STADIUM show i.e. PrideFC attempt. 1 out of 15 people get it
