Kind of disappointed by their lack of promotion of events lately and I think it's shown a clear negative effect with the low PPV buys for 167. It seems like they assumed GSP and Anderson would just sell the PPVs themselves without the heavy promotion of a UFC Primetime and heavy marketing. Of course they'll still be big events but I don't see UFC 168 breaking records like UFC 100 without the promotion quality and quantity of UFC 100. While they did do the "World Tour", that in my opinion just served to promote the UFC as a whole and isn't significantly increasing any individual PPV.
I'm sure they're technically doing more marketing and promotion than ever before with all the events, but I gotta say 9 days away from 168, it doesn't feel like it's gonna be the biggest PPV of all time...
The promotion for 168 has felt lackluster. Dunno why that is. Maybe we've been distracted by so much good stuff since 162 .
I don't watch Fox much besides when they have UFC on there, wonder if there any commercials running. I'm sure they could fit one in for them.
I love the sport, and I love what the UFC has done for it, but it starts to feel stale after a while. It's like paying $60 for a single football game at this point.
Sometimes the fans come up with better posters and trailers that you can see on youtube. It blows my mind.
I have to agree.... yet, I see the commercials nonstop. I'm so fucking sick of hearing "(rogan) Chris Weidman just knocked Anderson Silva OUT COLD..................... (goldberg) But this does NOT take away from the greatness of Silva"
