Ultimate Wrestling Championship

Thats all.  Wrestling and muscle  is just that dominant.

I bet Franca, but thats just biz. I dont take it personal unless some fat fuck comes in and gives a half assed effort.  Hermes gave an honest fight. Thats all you can ask of someone.  Props to him. No biggie, turn the page.

Time for respected MMA insider Shiloh McIver to make his much-anticipated debut in the octagon.

i saw lots of bjj going on, he was passing guard like a mad man

I love the Pride scoring. Hermes came the closest to finishing the fight but Sherk DOMINATED the positioning. How wins??? Sherk IMHO but it would have been close in Pride. Tito would have won in Pride as well. It would have cost him a yellow but he would have won because Rashad danced around way too much and didn't engage until the last round.

Yeah, Beer Man, if you are going to judge the fight by Pride scoring, what about pride rules?

"But (in MMA) you can do that. All you gotta do is go learn to grapple, learn to wrestle or some submission moves and be tough, you can do that,"

Roy Jones Jr called this one.

Two weeks of sprawl training and RJJr would be golden.

word^

"yeah, all you gotta do is go learn to grapple. easy as pie. two weeks to mastery"

Not sure why so many people on the UG associate the word "all" with the time period of two weeks.

I wanna see a rematch between Bart vale x mike bitonio

If you're a HW not very ridiculous ^^^^

And hug your opponent like a cuddly Woolite bear...so soft and cuddly...

seems to me fighters look a little to scared to actually take any risks out there.

""But (in boxing) you can do that. All you gotta do is go learn to punch, learn to jab or some hooks and be tough, you can do that,"

see how ridiculous that sounds? "

Yeah, your quote sounds ridiculous. The reason your quote doesn't make sense is because while RJJ mentioned various styles (each containing numerous techniques) required to do well in a sport, you say you only need a few specific techniques to do well in a sport. You're just replacing words from the quote without thinking about context

What he's saying is in a sport where you can mix different styles, these are all you really need to know (wrestling, grappling, submissions), and if you're tough (so you can take a punch and keep fighting) you can still succeed.

Which is kind of true. If the other guy's a better striker than you what do you do? You try to clinch or go for the takedown and try to grapple him on the ground. If you're tough enough that he can't hurt you when you try to close the distance and he doesn't know any wrestling, grappling or subs, he's done.

I haven't followed Sherk's carrer but from what I read he seems to be able to take a hit, he's not much of a striker and he does 2 of the 3 styles listed (sounds like he's not much of a sub guy).

Posty,

"The sand finds itself deeply in thy bagina."

LOL!

Holy crap... just saw the gif of Sherk taking a massive knee to the face. He is a tough mofo.

"Yeah, Beer Man, if you are going to judge the fight by Pride scoring, what about pride rules"

True. Although, I still like Pride's scoring...and it's rules.
