The definition of dominance in mixed martial arts was Royce Gracie at UFC 1, when he was the only person who knew what was going on. He beat Art Jimmerson and his one glove in 2:18. Then he beat Ken Shamrock in :57. And in the finals, Royce beat Gerard Gordeau who still had one of Teila Tuli's toothies embedded in his foot in 1:40.

By contrast, Ronda Rousey's last three fights made Royce's numbers look like Helio Gracie vs. Waldemar Santana. Rousey beat Sara McMann in 1:04, and her coach called it - by liver shot. Rousey beat Alexis Davis in :16, and her coach called it - by overhand right. And she beat Cat Zingano in :14, and Rousey called it, telling TMZ she wanted to end it in under 15, and asking the interviewer to put it on Instagram.
Ronda Rousey's dominance is such that many are asking how she would do in the men's division. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan recently speculated that she might beat 50% of the men's division.
In a conversation with Rick J. Lee, top flyweight Ian McCall disagreed.
"They say all these comparisons to her fighting men," said McCall. "Even like Joe. I need to have a conversation with Joe about it, because she's not beating up a man. Like, I'm sorry, it's not going to happen.
"Like ..." then McCall paused choked and chuckled.
"I come from wrestling. Before there was a big female scene in wrestling, they would wrestle men. And it's not going to happen. A good man will not lose to Ronda Rousey.
"I could put a judo gi on, you're an Olympian. You're not throwing me. It's not going to happen. I will throw you on your head. Pretty simple. And you weigh more than me.
"I can't compartmentalize it or whatever. It doesn't make sense to me. I know it's all talk. They compare her to Tyson. She's dangerous, she's good, I get it. But it's just silly. And I can rant about it for a while, but I'm not going to.
"Ronda's definitely not the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. She's the best woman on the planet. That's cute. Cool. Well, you know, we're doing men things, heh. Different. I get it. You're really good and all but to compare her to Jon, or Jose, or Demetrious, or Cain Velasquez, come on - any of the champions. It's a different world. And, I don't know, it just frustrates me."
