Apparently I am going to have to check out a pair of Redwings.
I have two pairs of Timberland Pro's that I love for ranch work. 8" high, composite toe, comfortable as hell. First pair is two years old, I replaced the insole with aftermarket, otherwise they are holding strong. About $130 on Amazon.
