The altercation seems to start when one woman grabs a phone out of the hands of another and a Marine tries to intervene.
Then, a man in a white long-sleeve shirt attempts to throw a punch at a different Marine and misses, as a group of his fellow military men rush to his defense.
While some Marines try to separate the men as they curse at each other, tensions seem to escalate and an all-out brawl begins.

You know that they are going to stick together if shit happens.
You know that all of them, or most of them, are probably pretty tough, or at least tougher than the average person
And you start a fight with them ?

During my bouncing days I dealt with a groups of Marines a few times
Best practice is to get the most sober acting of them to calm down their guys, while me and other bouncers would intervene with the civilians on the other side of the conflict. Because the marine that’s pissed off will listen to his fellow Marines before he listens to me, and none of them want their buddies to get into trouble.
On the other hand I saw one idiot bouncer take the wrong approach and try to act like bad ass when he dealt with the jar heads, which didn’t go very well - the half drunk Marines , already hyped up and ready to scrap, saw a stranger come up and inflame the situation, with their buddy
That one turned into a brawl. A few Marines got arrested but right before court the police were willing drop the charges if I was ok with it, which I was - the Marines were knuckleheads but they didn’t start the fight and I felt it would be unfair to get a black mark at the beginning of their military career for something they didn’t start

He ate 3 or 4 solid punches and kept advancing. Must have been like a real life version of one of those dreams that most everyone has had at one time or another where you punch and punch but nothing is happening.
