I just moved to San Bernardino and was wondering if anyone has had the oppurtunity to train at Rommel Dunbar's school in Riverside, CA. I'm looking for any experiences u may have had and recommendations, for any other schools around that area. I would love to get into no-gi training if possible, but gi training is still good. Thanks in advance.
..the school's website is unitedbjj.com.
Hello jacket, I train in Moreno Valley, we are under a Royce Gracie brown belt, Sam Marcellini. Primarily gi, sometimes we go no-gi in the summer time, or at open mats. The school's info is on Royce's site. Feel free to drop by!
Rommel got his Black Belt???
I know Rommel from back in the day. Just visit the school and take a class. He's very good with children as well and has a good program.

Hi,
I just saw your post and I though I would reply. I train with Rommel at United Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Riverside. He has one of the best programs I have ever seen. Rommel is a black belt under Pedro Carvalho. He likes to train for competition, as you may have heard, his kids are pheonomal! He still competes as well. He won the gold medal at the Master/Senior World Championship and the American National Championship last year.
In class we roll ALOT and he shows a lot of good moves! Usually we get 45 minutes or more straight rolling time each class.
I'm sure if you call Rommel or stop by he will let you try a class out for free. The number there is (951)687-9000 and he is always there, he practically lives there.
I hope this helped, maybe I will see you there.
