Hello everyone, hope you all had a safe and happy new year. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the heck it means when you see "upstemmed guitar" on a piece of sheet music. Does that mean its tuned a step or half a step sharper than the rest. Thanks everyone
I believe what they are saying is the melody notes with the stems pointing upward are the notes you should be playin on guitar. This is a travis style piece so its for one guitar, but the melody is on the top and the bass notes are on the botom.
geeze thanks DasBeaver! here i was thinking that either it was the tuning or the opposite of a baritone guitar, like some kinda alto guitar (lol) thanks again and take care!
lol, no problem.
