Urijah Faber excited for JDS vs. Velasquez III

How can anybody at this point get excited for their rematch? Nothing will change if they fought again in all honesty. What JDS will use his jiu-jitsu in the 3rd bout? He ain't no Aoki. Cain will easily avoid his sub's while pounding his face in. Cain will once again be the aggressor and charge forward while dos Santos will once again back peddle and be too worried about takedowns, or if he charges forward Cain will just clinch with him. After this last fight, I really can't see how JDS win's again.

So Cain is unbeatable, no one learns from their fights, no one can adapt the end?

I know Cain got KO in under a minute, but that was a shot to the back of the ear. Cain had a torn ACL + coming off a long layoff. His undoing was he turn his head when JDS threw that over hand right. He should have never turn and expose the side of his head when he saw that punch come. Cain got one of the best chin in MMA. The shots he took from Kongo would have KO a lot of top HW.

JDS can defeat him, but its safe to say that if they fight 10 times Cain wins 9 out of those 10 times. JDS can only threatened him with his KO power that he quickly loses as he tires out.

My comment had very little to do with Cain losing, just not going to discount top fighters with top camps from learning from mistakes when they have wide skillsets

I think all fighters would take instant rematches, it's the UFC that decides to give them

Everyone was saying that Cain had no chance after the first fight and look what happened, I'm not even saying JDS would win the third fight, but as cliche as it is, anything can happen in mma. I don't get why people would count out a fighter as great as JDS

JDS said that he used the wrong strategy. He said he should have used the strategy of protecting his face and not trying to get up.

Yes, he was being serious.

Cain will finish him next time.

If Cain takes a year off in order to have shoulder surgery and then blows his ACL out just prior to a title defense, he is very much beatable.  But assuming all parties are healthy, where do you see JDS improving enough to beat Cain?  The fight was not remotely close and Cain proved to be better in every facet of MMA.  That's a rather tall order for JDS to win. And it's not like Cain wont be trianing in order to further widen the gap between himself and every other fighter in the world.

And no, everyone was not saying Cain had no chance, that would be the MMA fans who don't know MMA very well.  Lots of us tried to tell the rest that a healthy Cain would be able to execute a much better game plan than what he was able to the first time around.  The Cain blow out comes as no surprise.  My only surprise is that Junior survived the beating he took.  Kudos to him.
