ALL FIGHTERS WHO FIGHT ON A USKBA AMATEUR MMA "GENESIS RANKED" EVENT WILL BE RANKED. THE POINT SYSTEM FOR FIGHTING ON A "GENESIS RANKED" EVENT IS AS FOLLOWS:
1 POINT - ISSUED FOR PARTICIPATION
2 POINTS - ISSUED FOR A DRAW DECISION
3 POINTS - ISSUED FOR A WIN
A fighters who fights on a "GENESIS RANKED" event, can earn either 1, 2 or 3 points per bout. Rankings will be based solely on the bout decisions of fighters participating in "GENESIS RANKED" events. The more a fighter participates, the higher the fighter ranking will be.
Yes. On October 21, 2006, at GHK Rpomotions "CITC-RUMBLE IN RAHWAY II", we held the first "GENESIS RANKED" USKBA Amateur MMA Championship Title bout. Matt McManmon defeated Ryan Broderick by unanimous decision to win the title.
Currently, the top ranked fighters (designated by "GENESIS RANKED" earned points) are eligible to fight for the titles. As more events become "GENESIS RANKED", and the fighters earn more points, the criteria for being eligible to fight for titles will be amended to include a 'minimum number of points earned' in order to be considered for a title bout.
glock4life... I apologize to you and all our Amateur MMA fighters in the Ohio area. Based on the rules the Ohio Athletic Commission implimented we felt the rules were too dangerous for amateurs. Since our rules were more restrictive, and in our thought more safe, we proposed that the Ohio Athletic Commission allow us to use our rules for our GENESIS RANKED" events. They said we could not use our rules. We did not want to have "GENESIS RANKED" fighters using different rules depending on where they fought, so we decided that we would not have "GENESIS RANKED" Amateur MMA events in Ohio. We have been talking to some promoters in the Indiana area and we are trying to hold events there. You, and any of our "GENESIS RANKED" fighters, are always welcome to head East for any of our events in New Jersey, Delaware and the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut (more areas to come).
nwarshaw... We are listed on the 'approved list' of sanctioning organizations in Georgia. However, at this time, we do not have any promoters that are sanctioning with us in Georgia. We'll work on it.
glock4life... I'll talk to some of our promoters back East to see if they would be interested in bringing a team of fighters from the Midwest in for an Eastcoast vs Midwest competition.
glock4life... Talk to Jim Cofer. We discussed getting together a team of Amateur MMA fighters from the Midwest. I am working on getting a promoter bach East to put it all together. I've seen the fighters in both areas and I know it would be competitive and entertaining. Plus, we have many Ohio area fighters who have already earned "GENESIS RANKED" points and we need to get them on events to keep earning points.
