USKBA Amateur MMA

USKBA
ACTION SPORTS
Promoter and USKBA OHIO Representative
Jim Cofer

brings the first NEW! USKBA Amateur MMA Rules event to Ohio on Saturday,
January 28, 2006. "GENESIS" will feature some local talent and some
amateur fighters from other States.

The
NEW!
USKBA Amateur MMA Rules
events are strictly for amateurs who want to
take the first steps in MMA fighting. The "GENESIS" series of NEW!
USKBA Amateur MMA Rules
events will pair up fighters with similar experience...but
perhaps with different methods. In MMA, there are stand-up fighters and
ground fighters. The "GENESIS" series of NEW! USKBA Amateur MMA
Rules
events will feature both methods in rules designed for fair competition.

Any
amateur fighters who would like to fight on this USKBA OHIO "GENESIS"
event, or future USKBA OHIO "GENESIS" events, should contact Jim
Cofer at zerodeal@willard-oh.com.

that pic was taken in the 80s. it was a fad.

LOL @ Sioux

We are sponsored by combat sports and are using their equipment

what are the differences in the rules?

Uh.... you are doing MMA with shinguards?

im guessing from the shin pads that theres no leg locks...

Many people here would be shocked to learn that organizations like Shooto in fact have amateur leagues where equipment is used... USKBA amateur MMA is modeled after such leagues... more equipment and more safety rules will allow raw beginners a chance to gain experience safely.

Boxing has USA Boxing and the Golden Gloves

Muay Thai has IFMA and the amateuer worlds

We want MMA to have the USKBA and amateur events...

knee bars, striaght ankle locks, figure 4's all legal, no heel hooks

USKBA (www.USKBA.com) will have the rules posted soon... again, this is a format for amateurs to get experience, not "blood and guts"

this is a format for amateurs to get experience, not "blood and guts"

So bleeding is not allowed in your event?

That is interesting, b/c in the Underground Combat League (NYC's premiere MMA competition), you are allowed to disembowel people, you're not letting that go on in this show? Anything that you can pull off in Tekken is allowed at the Underground, I think that's in the rulebook.

LOL!

We have medical personal on site

We have oxygen on site

We have scales and actually weigh people in

We have sanctioning by the state athletic commission

We don't allow head butts, spike elbows to the spine/back, or other "fun stuff" that you love so much, so I guess it won't interest you and you don't have to worry about the event at all....

on the bright side, I guess it beats wearing this'

if i hadn't met you both in person, i would've sworn that you two were actually just one person trolling online.

The format may not appeal to everyone, and MMA.tv seems a home for a lot of extreme hard core types, but there are a lot of people who can benefit from this format...

Sioux, you tell me Jump is a lawyer, I'll believe you of course, but his posts would have led me to other conclusions

ttt

That guy has camel toe

^^^ LOL

"We have medical personal on site"

That's good, but with all of the baloon padding, you won't need them.

"We have oxygen on site"

Yeah? In the Underground (NYC's Premiere MMA Competition) the competitors fight in vacuum chambers filled only with carbon gas.

"We have scales and actually weigh people in"

NICE!

"We have sanctioning by the state athletic commission"

I guess you need it!

"We don't allow head butts, spike elbows to the spine/back, or other "fun stuff" that you love so much, so I guess it won't interest you and you don't have to worry about the event at all...."

Again with the quotations, WHY, WHY!!! Who said that Dave? YOU? Are your competitors going to wear full-body-condoms? That would be the safest. I also recommend "swimmies" to protect the bicep area.
