I have a student heading up to University of Wisconsin - River Falls. Are there any BJJ/Submission gyms up in the area?

Where is river falls at? I'm sure it is north somewhere, but what bigger city is it close to?

Actually, I'm not sure. I'll have to ask my student. I think he told me it was NW and pretty close to Minnesota.

I will be having a BJJ/MMA club at LaCrosse,Wisconsin in June 2006 if that helps him at all. I am transferring there for my 4th and 5th year of college for my program. They also have boxing, Karate, and Kendo there as well.

Myself and a few other guys josh lewandoski and john lorenz are staring up a group in la crosse MMA oriented I am working on having a few big names come up and help us out everything still in the works I am heading to miletich for a month in oct. let me know if you need anymore info. always looking for people to train.

not saying that at all....just a tad bit frustrated, because i have been teaching that area for the last 5.5 years doing seminars and privates...just dont like competition

we are just a strictly mma club we just train together. If we open something up later on it happens right now we are just looking for people to train with to do mma. There isn't alot there for guys who are intrested in training. not trying to cause a rivalry.

hey maybe with 2 places we can attract someone to put on some fights. I am not going to the gym you are training at so we don't step on anyones toes.

Competition is good to have nothing wrong with Coke or Pepsi it gives us a choice :)

jeez Robert. I don't even know what to say. You have competition right
now, you'll always have it. Being a big fish in a small pond is only good for
inflating an ego.

So, Fighter promter guy. I think there is also a Pedro Sauer school in Eau Claire, don't know anything about it....it might not even be there anymore!

There is also a school in Apple Valley - about 40 to 45 min drive. I also thing UW has a pretty good wrestling team. We use to train in their room years ago - There may even be something active on Campus.

I live in Eau Claire, and as far as I know, there never was a bjj school. They don't have anymore info anywhere.
