Vadim Finkelstein: What can I say? Everyone handles their business in their own way. This deal was a total surprise to me, since it was done behind our back. I knew nothing about the course of any negotiation [between ZUFFA and Strikeforce].

Nevertheless, it wouldn't have any sort of effect on M-1 as a company, and on Fedor Emelianenko as a fighter. We will continue to operate in the same way we did before.

Championat.ru: Did you speak to Scott Coker about the issue? What did he tell you?

Vadim Finkelstein: No, I didn't speak to Scott Coker about it. And to tell you the truth, I don't think the topic will surface up when we meet. If he ever wanted to discuss this deal, he would tell me about it a while ago, at its early stage.

Championat.ru: Is there a new possibility of co-promoting with the UFC, which was previously not possible?

Vadim Finkelstein: It's not something that depends on us.   If the UFC wants to cooperate with us, we are ready to consider their proposals. I have repeatedly said that we would be interested to work with this company, we'll see.

Championat.ru: Evaluate the prospects newfound union.

Vadim Finkelstein: It's hard to tell what the future will be for Strikeforce. I do not think it will last a long time under the control of the newfound owners. The only advantage is that now there will be  opportunities to conduct a joint fights ... definitely we can say that we will see a lot of good fights.

lol...like there was any reason to consult Vadim on this deal.

 good

I often consult with people who bring nothing to the table...I'm shocked he wasn't involved Phone Post

he would be a great silent partner in strikeforce, he doesn't even speak english.

and LMAO at co-promoting with the ufc, that question was just intended to fuck with him.

Vadim is a piece of shit. LOL at the UFC "cooperating" with your rinky dinky tent promotion after the last two fights.

Monsters Ball - He's not suggesting Coker was supposed to consult with him. He's basically acknowledging that he didn't know anything about the deal happening.

Some of you guys try to hard to hate.

He's implying that it's a shady deal by saying it was done "behind our back"....

THIS

Interesting that Scott wouldn't even have a conversation with the guy he copromotes events with. Makes me think that despite Scotts Brave face on how the Fedor deal was worth it etc that he really harbors a grudge against them. Think when Dana and him talk about M1 in the future Scott's gonna be like yah they're great! You should really get into bed with them Dana. Lol Vadim basically fucked themselves with the renegotiating bullshit. I liken it to the stunt the Ultimate Warrior pulled right before a WWE event where he demanded Vince renegotiate his contract or he wouldn't perform. Ok.. you might get your money that time, but the promoter will never do business with your hijacking ass again.

If you've been reading between the lines it's been pretty clear for probably about a year or so now that Coker isn't exactly a fan of M-1. Not sure why he'd give two shits about their input on anything not involving Fedor.

It's kind of funny how M-1 weaseled their way into the Showtime deal and then the UFC fell into Showtime's lap shortly afterwards. LOL. Anyone think Showtime is going to keep fucking around with these guys? M-1 in this country is experiencing a living death.

That might have something to do with him being an assh*le.

Hey Vadim ... EAT A DICK!

crazy Americans

Goodbye M1 Global..UFC will not have anything to do with them.Zero negotiations because of zero interest.

If the UFC wants to cooperate with us, we are ready to consider their proposals.

Really?

Good. Because it was none of your fucking business, Vadim. No pun intended.

Does anyone have reading comprehension skills any more?
