VADIM FINKELSTEIN: The UFC is trying to be an MMA monopoly. They feel that their opinion is the only one that counts and that other promotions just don’t exist. Back when talks between the UFC and M-1 were taking place, had they really wanted Fedor, they could have had him. I guess they just didn’t want him that much.

Anybody could have Fedor depending on how far they are willing to bend over. The UFC wanted Fedor, not M1. They are not interested in bringing in another company to take profits. They are a business and a smart one. Letting someone take your money and contribute min. to your bottom line is not good business.

fedor was ok'd for the sambo fights while in the ufc and he has fought in sambo since being in strikeforce. he lost for the first time I believe.
