Very possible we see Chimaev vs Nickal for the MW title by end of 2023 or middle of 2024

That mongoloid has a big fucking head tho. I bet he can take a punch to that giant retard head. Not Bo though, he’s got a soft looking skull

That Dagi Retard will only be able to fight in Abu Dhabi.

No other commission will allow him to fight.

He also hates couples holding hands and beats them up

neither has khamzat to be fair.

I don’t think so. It is only 2023. Go back four years and he was still wrestling folkstyle and winning more national titles than almost anyone. Go back two years and he was wrestling David Taylor and trying to make the Olympics. A few months later he was taking amateur fights.

As he has said, he is not just fighting to say he had a few fights in the UFC and he is not fighting to make some money and party or to become famous, he is on a quest to become the best to have ever done it. He is still in the pursuit of greatness here.

Nickal said by the time he is done he wants people to say that he had great boxing, kickboxing and BJJ and that he was the GOAT, he has no interest in being just another wrestler that took some fights.

Things take time. He already said he was taking the rest of the year to just focus on getting better and building skills.

He just won three NCAA titles and an U23 world title in freestyle and is now wants a world title in MMA.

Few people take more than two UFC fights a year in this era, especially green fighters, he went 2-0 this year and I bet his team knows exactly what they are doing.

This is the fourth sport he has competed in at the highest levels in four years as before this it was NCAA’s, freestyle, and he also competed in nogi at the Fight Pass Invitational and vs Gordon Ryan.

Barring injury, I bet we see Nickal return by Feb or March.

feb or march ? way too long a lay off after very very easy fights

Still got to get through camps for “easy” fights. We don’t know the injury situation coming right out of wrestling at the level and schedule he was. I think Mike Brown and that crew know what they are doing. This is what Brown had to say almost a year ago when asked about the big fights like Chimaev and Adesanya for Bo.

“I’m confident in him but there is no reason to rush anything. Of course I think it is important to keep doing things, taking this sport as a professional and taking your time and making sure there is no doubt, you don’t want, in my eyes I don’t want a competitive fight, I’d like to see it every time, him blowing guys out of the water, this is what I would love to see and maybe he can beat these guys now but if he waits a little bit longer then he blows them out of the water and that is what we hope for and that is what we plan for.”

Alex and Jiri are old. Also, Bo is hopefully still learning how to fight between training camps and Alex and Jiri are finished products.

Yep, much older, especially Alex and very different backgrounds.

Jiri had also fought pro 8 years and was 26-3 in MMA when he entered the UFC. Had already been in there with fighters like Nemkov, King Mo, Ishii etc…

Alex had also had 40 pro kickboxing fights and world titles plus had had MMA fights many years prior to the UFC in Brazil.

Very different careers and backgrounds for all of them and what happened with Jiri just has nothing to do with what is going on with Bo.

he could have beaten those guys off the couch with a hang over.He took zero damage and has done nothing but talk since

It’s ok to hate on Bo because he is a ginger

Does Bo have a fight set? If so who is it? Who should he fight next?

@Eskimo @BJ_Penn_Forever True, I guess I didn’t really think of it that way.

Bo will be 28 in a few months.
Jiri just turned 31 a few days ago.

Jiri has way more “fight years” wear n tear on him

One step closer to the Chimaev vs Nickal title fight.

Bo has more than one round of wrestling/grappling. Bet he feels even more confident right now.

I think Bo beats him rather easily.

I think so too, probably 2025. Two killer wrestlers in their 20s in a division thats just had two back to back ex-kickboxer champs.

Chimaev vs Nickal title fight still in play.

So obviously 2024 was too early for a Chimaev vs Nickal title fight but maybe 2025…Chimaev has to get past Whittaker in June and if he does I think he might get the next title shot.

Strickland and Cannonier are up there in the top five. UFC offered Stickland, Costa for June. Du Plessis has the belt and is fighting Adesanya in August.

First things first, Nickal has to beat Brudage tonight which everyone expects to happen. I don’t see Brundage getting out of the first round.

Both are too small for MW
