VFC 48: great event, with NEW Rule system

If you didn't see it, VFC 48 took place Friday night and aired on fight pass, and can be played on demand there aswell.

VFC had a really fun event a month ago with Anthony smith (I think) vs josh neer, and the card Friday had some great prospects, great fights aswell.

But also they tried new rules and fouls, from what I remembered:
1: to be deemed a downed opponent 3 points of contact is no longer enough, it needs to be at least the two soles of you feet and both hands touching... I think they even specified that it had to be a fist or palms...finger tips don't count

2: 12 to 6 elbows are legal strikes

3: with the intention to avoid eye pines, a fighters outstretched hands need to be fists only, a outstretched arm with extended fingers is illegel and a foul.

These are what I remember, I thought the fights were great and I didn't see a single poke or "game" being played. That said, it's only one event. Phone Post 3.0

The main event. Had a TKO, during the ground and pound a variety of strikes were used, among them a number of 12 to 6 elbows

Is this the event getting all the questions about kirk's fight and the judging? Phone Post 3.0

They also use a square cage right? Phone Post 3.0

Yea, I mean I didn't see any questions here about it or comments on the judging but the kid is really talented. Imo I thought he clearly won that fight, that's what I would call a robbery. I was surprised not one judge scored it for kirik, I'm not sure what they were watching to be honest

And yes, they use a square cage
