"Kid" Yamamoto vs Jadamba Narantungalag -  K-1 World MAX 2004  (10/13/04)

god Kid was such a stud in the old days. Would love to see him get back to that but age is not on his side. I do think he'll beat Umenyora as Kid is an awful style match up for him.

Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto vs Federico Lopez -  Dream 14  (5/29/10)

damn I never saw that Ko of Jadamba. What's crazy is how Kid competed with these guys who were so much larger than him. Dude is a small bw and he was crushing lws.

Kid is easily one of the most exciting fighters of all time. Devastating power, explosive speed, and as mcpeepants pointed out, he did it all while competing at least 2 weight classes above his natural weight. I too would love to see him make one last great run, but time and injuries seem to have taken it's toll on one of the greatest talents we've ever seen in mma.

While he maybe be past his prime I still dream of a title run.

Thanks for the post Pro Ice

Unlike Gomi, I think Kid could still be a contender with some fine tuning.

However, the game has moved too far forward and Mighty Mouse even showed more of his game recently in fighting Cruz than he did when he beat Kid. Kid was able to get up from all of MM's tds and still has the power. He is just not putting things together well. All he had on MM was a telegraphed one power shot lunge to which MM easily countered with tds.

If Kid cleans up his striking tech and strategy a bit and reincorporates his wrestling, he could still do some damage. But time is not on his side.

 You're welcome guys

And good posts nhbguy and Wasa-B

"Kid" has ko power in both hands, both knees and both feet.

I agree: WIth some fine tuning, he'll be back in contention again.
