Igor Vovchanchyn
Height: 5’8
Weight: 235 lbs
“Ice Cold” Igor Vovchanchyn is one of the toughest and most dangerous fighters ever, and arguably the best “NHB” tournament fighter ever. The 5ft 8in kick boxer/brawler from Ukraine has won 7 NHB tournaments, and was at one time considered my many to be the top MMA fighter on the planet. Igor is one of the most exciting fighters ever, and had a heavy handed highlight reel of a career. Despite being small at heavyweight, Igor met all challengers head on with a violent/aggressive style, and some of the hardest most devastating punches we have ever seen. Vovchanchyn has wins over many very tough fighters including Paul Varleans, Gary Goodridge, Mark Kerr, Enson Inoue, and Gilbert Yvel, to name a few. His KO of Francisco Bueno is one of the most brutal and most highlighted knockouts ever in MMA.
Although Igor was small for a heavyweight, he more than made up for that with his toughness and raw aggression. While not considered a great grappler, he was very successful against top grapplers due to his ability to weather a storm until he could get to his feet, where he was most dangerous. Igor has by far some of the hardest punches, both standing and on the ground, ever in MMA. He could end any fight with his fists, in the blink of an eye. In addition to being one of the scariest strikers ever, Igor also possessed some of the most damaging Ground & Pound. His compact build was seemingly perfect for posturing up in his opponents guard, and launching his sledge hammer fists to the head. His win over the very tough Enson Inoue is, to this day, one of the most brutal displays of G&P we have ever seen.
The fact that such an undersized heavyweight, is being included in a tournament featuring most of the greatest HW’s ever… is a testimony just how tough and dangerous Igor Vovchanchyn was. On any given night, at his very best, Igor had the weapons to brutally separate any fighter, ever, from consciousness.

Squatdog - Who is this guy and which episode of TUF was he on?
Chris Leben would totally beat his ass.
I heard he saw Dana's, "Do you fuckin' want to be a fighter" speech and realized he wasn't prepared to be on TUF.
Possibly my favorite fighter of all time.
Incredible toughness and will, and the definition of one-punch knockout power.
I would love to see Kombat in Kiev again.
