Vladimir Cervenka Two handed sword

A couple of weeks ago, I recieved a two handed sword from Czecc weaponsmith Vladimir Cervenka http://www.sword.cz/eindex.htm

Its a huge beast at 183 cm, and 3,8 kg (72 inches and 8,4 lbs) but the balance is very good, and its surprisingly quick and manouverable. I'm not a strong guy by any means, and even I am reasonably quick with it. A big, strong guy who was actually trained to use it would have been a terrifying opponent.

The sword is forged, not machined, and it shows. I have an Angus Trim sword and two swords by Albion, which are machined, and have much cleaner, more perfect lines, due to the way they are made. The twohander has some pitting on the guard and blade, and the grinding isnt perfect, but honestly, for this sword, it adds character IMO. It seems more "real" than my ATrim and Albions.

The grip is wrapped in twisted wire, and is absolutely gorgeous. Provides a very secure grip for the hands as well.

The following pictures are not mine, they are taken from this thread at swordforum.com http://forums.swordforum.com/showthread.php?t=75141 where a memeber just recieved a sword which is identical to mine. If a bluenamer would be kind enough to post them in this thread, I'd appreciate it very much.

Sorry, man. Imageshack returns the dreaded Gold Frog.

Is it like one of these (taken from the maker's site)?

No problem. :)

Yes, its the longest one, with the wavy blade.

I saw an original of the wavy blade style at the 7th Regiment Armoury Show in NYC years ago.

There is an antique arms dealer named Finer that is always there with great stuff.

The sword was sold for round $120,000 if I remember correctly.
