Was Cecil working tonight? Exactly what round did he win and why? That was a domination IMO
Yeah I can't understand why.
1st round Nog got a knockdown and a sub attempt
2nd round Completely controlled the ground fight
3rd round Almost Tkoed and got his back (let alone the sweep in the end)
I'm guessing the first round.
He landed a bit more standing than Nog iirc even though Nog dropped him
Judges are bad and biased usually. I was actually shocked all 3 didn't score 29-28. I figured they'd all be looking for any excuse to give Handy rounds.
First round was close. Certainly conceivable a judge could give it to Randy.
no way. 30-27. near finish for nog in round 1.
awful judging, Nog with a solid sweep in my opinion, heck one of those rounds could've maybe been 10-8.
If Randy hadn't been knocked on his butt there it woulda been Randy's round... but he was. Nog shoulda got the nod from all juges.
First round close how?
Nog got a knockdown and had a good sub attempt also he got the better of the exchanges easily. I saw Handy's head shake after every combo he received.
Conceivable a judge could do it, yes. Conceivable any moderately informed MMA fan could do it? Not so much.

This!
total joke
I thought the 2nd was 10-8 for Big Nog. I had it 30-26. I can understand a 30-27 but 29-28???
1st round was close.
Randy was winning 90% of that round other then the knockdown sub attempt.
D_S_A - I'm guessing the first round.

Surely its generally accepted that a clean, damaging knockdown wins a round if Randy couldn't do any meaningful damage the rest of the time. And its not like Randy dominated the rest or anything.
If they continue with this shit, pretty soon every single fighter will try to pin the other on the fence (see florian) so he can't do shit and without doing any damage at all (even small one).
Let the pin fights begin!!!
Seriously judges need to get a grip.

2 of 3 judges gave round 1 to Forrest over Rampage, despite the knockdown. That's the most recent example I can think of.
Randy won the 1st round? LMAO! Randy landed two decent shots the whole round and laid on Nog against the fence for the last minute breathing heavily. Nog wasn't phased by those two shots at all, landed one heavy shot of his own, blasted/dropped him, came as close as possible to tapping him, and landed a nasty four-punch combo that stunned Randy before he stalled him.
How exactly does that round go to Randy?

Well I disagreed with that judging as well but even assuming randy could have made up for the knockdown- he didn't dominate or completely control the rest of the round by any stretch of the imagination. it was competative and back and forth with Randy perhaps landing a few more shots that did no lasting damage. That couldn't possibly make up for almost being finished.
To use another Nog fight as an example, Nog was totally schooling Herring in the first round of their UFC fight but was dropped badly and almost finished- even though he won 4 and a half minutes of the round easily he still lost it on every judges score card.

Oh yeah I totally agree. I just think it gives some insight into the way MMA judges can be irrational and inconsistent
