I'm re-watching last week's FUCKIN BONANZA of UFC/MMA awesomeness...minus the Alvarez/Chandler epicness, which I will save for tomorrow's NFL pick-me-up moments...and I believe it's criminal how under-heralded Wanderlei's systematic, patient with awesome berserserkedness, destruction of Cung Le is. He backed up with an amazing singularness of purpose while wind-milling/countering with ridiculous success and with eyes wide-open. Cung was gassed and destroyed by the end of round 1.
He lost the 1st round in my opinion (the whole time i was thinking Cung was gonna drop him again with some crazy spinning head kick or something) but I did like seeing Wandy fight a bit more intelligently, definitely payed off for him in the 2nd (those knees reminded me of prime Wandy from the good ol' Pride days!) :D

Seriously. Re-watch the fight. Dominated the fight. Totally controlled the fight with amazing defensive fighting and controlled bursts of betterness. Barely got caught and was 109% on top of it. Fuck anyone who thinks that's not what happened.

Not sure what fight you were watching Wandy was getting his ass kicked up till he caught Le. Good solid win for Wand but he was not dominating. And the stoppage was a little early.
I don't get how this makes a troll feel good about himself?
Watch the fight. Cung's lights went out at about 4:50 of the first round. And as you're not watching it, watch Wandy take 5 or 6 steps backwards EVERY time Le advances and then counters with destruction (even after going to a knee for about 2 seconds).
He nearly got knocked out again and it was a bad stoppage

I don't think the first round was anywhere near as lopsided as people are making out. I watched it again yesterday; Wanderlei buckled Cung with the very first punch of the fight. Cung then dropped Wand with the spinning back fist, and spent a lot of the round landed kicks on his forearms and kicks to the body. Wand was still very much in the fight though. Then Wanderlei finished the round very strongly and had Cung in a bit of trouble.
Cung probably narrowly won the first round, but I have no idea where Rogan has gotten the idea that Wanderlei launched a monumental comeback.
Wand did what any intelligent fighter does when he gets caught and that is to not drop your hands swing wildly and rush in. And that is what Wand did and that's not what he ever did in his previous fights except his first fight with Cro Cop.
If you went into this fight not expecting Wand to get hit hard with a hard spinning back fist? then you need to lay off the crack them shits was making noize. Great win for Wand and for the record he did not "catch" Cung Le he wore him down and went for the kill when the time was right in a "DOMINATING" fashion this was the very first fight where Wand actually threw straight rights to catch and wear down his south paw adversary instead of throwing wildly and getting put to sleep. Great fight and to Cung's credit he was caught hard early in the first with a fast right from Wandy but came back and rocked Wandy with his own reppitoir of Chinese Gung Fu

i don't remember exactly how the first round went, but i do remember at the end of it saying 'wow, wand might have just stolen the first round'. probably not dominated by either man for the totality of the 5 minutes
le dropped him with a half ass spinning back fist in the 1st and won that round. wanderlei won the fight but he in no way dominated le the whole fight.
Not dominant at all, in fact Le was getting the better of him most of the time.

Wandy fought a great fight. Dominated, well I was excited! But he was in total control and his strategy to consistently drop back 5 or 6 steps every time Cung tried to kick him was PERFECT. I think a lot of people posting about this fight haven't seen it multiple times.

I sincerely feel like you've lost the right to retain custody of your children..and that your wife should divorce you. And that your boss should offer you a pay cut and demotion. You diminished any faith that the people around you should be required to give.
1. Wand almost lost - several times.
2. Only dead people can be hit with so many spinning back fists.
3. You willfully forget how close the fight was at times when Cung wasn't winning.
