he is right on the money about how political organizations work and how to get accredited...
as for the cja, they are the ONLY organization thus far who has agreed to and offered to sanction grappling events...largely because of dan moroney who has petitioned for this...
judo ontario nor will ontario amateur wrestling do it, do to their own size of membership...they do not need nor want the grappling community headache (which you can see from all this gibberish and complaining going on)...
understand what membership means...it is a means to an end and an opportunity to legally hold tournaments in the province of ontario under the ontario athletics commision...
remember that each CLUB or EVENT is run by those individuals hosting it, so branding the organization as garbage and not showing to tournaments held under that umbrella only hurts you and the grappling community...to speak frankly, the success of a tournament is essentially up to the organizing committee of the tournament, not specifically the governing body of sport (ie the cja), so i would suggest taking concerns of tournament issues to the organizing committee..i would guess that other grappling tournaments who are holding events under the sanctioning of the cja do not run a bad show, so poor tournament administration is not a sport body's fault..
people, wake up, there is no conspiracy theory here at work..you have a largely volunteer organization, who has been sanctioned years ago, who, by en large, has agreed to open its membership to the grappling community to allow for tournaments and events...
the shortcomings of the administration is likely due to 1) no full time paid executive director to administer and develop the program; 2) individuals who volunteer and do this part time on top of their careers, families and running a club; 3) not large enough membership yet requiring and/or supporting the next step to full time administration...
NO OTHER SPORT ORGRANIZATION OR PROVINCIAL SPORT ORGANIZATION TO DATE HAS AGREED TO DO THIS...
so you decide whether you want to practice sport or not in Ontario...but stop playing the cja card...
