War Machine thinks his ex-gf Christy Mack got off easy when he beat the hell out of her -- because he could have flat out killed her and gotten away with it if the attack went down in Texas.
War Machine actually believes he shouldn't have been charged at all ... according to a jailhouse letter he recently wrote to a friend. TMZ obtained a copy, and in it he claims Christy is throwing him under the bus to protect her "image."
The ex-MMA fighter says Christy's friend Corey Thomas ambushed him when he entered her home back in August -- and adds ... "Even if I wasn't ambushed they still would have got what they deserved! In Texas you could have shot them both and got off with that 'passion crime' s**t."
He's no lawyer -- fact is you can commit a crime of passion in any state, and it's not a free-pass to go killing people.
War Machine's facing 32 counts ... including attempted murder, battery, kidnapping, and sexual assault.
In the letter, he says he plans to sell "#FREEWAR" gear to pay his legal bills.

As many of you know, I've had a 'thing' for War Machine since he beat Roger Huerta on November 26, 2011, and by "thing" I mean "fascination with the dark side."
I wasted many years, months, hours, and minutes of my life corresponding with this individual on Facebook, Twitter, and jail letters and at various times tried to "help" him even where no help was sought.
I've observed some of the individuals he interacts with, people he claimed to have sworn loyalty to, people who turned out to be backstabbers (oh where to begin? Christy Mack... WM's brother Michael Koppenhaver... Ryan the Navy Seal who co-owned AlphaMaleShit.com with him and turned his back on him... and now "Steve" the mysterious "Protein Cream" dude who leaked WM's jail letter to TMZ).
Many UG members called me crazy for seeing good in War Machine... many thought it was a marketing ploy on my part.. many thought I just wanted to bang...
At the end of the day, War Machine has still not accepted one iota of responsibility for his role in any of this (the Mack beating).
He may, in fact, be a lost cause after all.
I refused to see it, perhaps because I had invested so much hope and energy into "Maybe this person can improve himself" and couldn't bring myself to accept that MAYBE THIS PERSON *WON'T* IMPROVE HIMSELF AFTER ALL.
From Day 1 I was followeding the #FreeWarMachine movement, befriending several WM supporters, only to watch them turn on each other and then turn on me. The only commonality amongst all of them was hate and anger. I engaged in a Twitter battle with WM's brother @Mkope today that left me thinking, "WM and his brother are EXACTLY the same. One claims to be good, the other knows he's bad... but they are the same."
There is no saving WM... there's no healing his family... I could talk about epigenetics, quantum physics, Law of Attraction as I am fond of doing... but none of that stuff actually works unless someone APPLIES it. WM hasn't applied any of it... except to create chaotic situation after chaotic situation after chaotic situation.
To the UG: I am sorry that I ever doubted your intelligence regarding this matter. Perhaps you were right about WM's questionable character...that there is no 'saving' this person. And was definitely a waste of time to try.
I asked my dad about the situation (he was a wrestler in high school). I brought up the fact that WM is in jail for the 3rd time. Dad had merely four words on the matter. Regarding jail: "Good place for him."
WM, I hereby release you from my iron grip, and may God have mercy on your soul.

lol. che guevara was a really good person who threw away a rich life with no worries to fight imperialism in latin americ and africa. the cuban government he led was world's above the western supported batista dictatorship that preceded it, which is what you compare governments to - not the best government in a rich country that faces no threat of invasion, but what government preceded the government in power, and is the current government better or worse.
additionally it's impossible to know either way, but abu-jamal's conviction for shooting the cop is based on rather shaky evidence, and more importanly occured during a period where black radicals were being outright murdered by police and being imprisoned on all kinds of bogus charges. it's not clear cut that absolutely, 100% this had nothing to do with the state's dislike of radicals.
Must be a liberal to defend racists and mass murderers like that.
