I don't think people really think it's exactly the same, moreso that the lines are blurred when you have someone who's job is to blur the lines of taboo and long held morality about sex and love and treat sex as EXTREMELY casual. Also as they have to treat it as an image they uphold, as a lifestyle and have it more often than the majority of people but in a totally unemotional way but also then has observe and keep barriers alive for a relationship's sake. Like how do you experiment or explore boundaries and inhibition with a porn star? It's basically a situation that takes extrememly open minds and emotional control, as well as people who can compartmentalize professional and personal very very well, and I don't think War Machine is one of those guys as much as he might want to think he is.
When people are stressed out all day at work it bleeds into their home life, there's no reason to think having sex on flim professionally doesn't muddy the waters of love and relationship perspective and home life, especially how her male co-workers might treat her ot interact, friend and casual boundaries are not typical or as usual as most people would operate with or expect, and the interactions are likely innocent just textured with what these two people might have just done on a camera sexually an hour before for example and make non-porn partners react badly to nothing, even if they are supposed to know better, emotion trumps reason.
It doesn't mean she's incapable of love, Tito and Jenna lasted for a while, but it certainly makes it harder if one of the partners is not in porn and doesn't live the professional life, same as she probably can't have the same perspective on violence as a job a fighter does (not relating that to beating women, just fighters in general having a uniqye perspective from people who don't fight for a living) and it makes for unique hurdles and often a stacked deck against success.
