Take away his charisma and social activism. Was he the best boxer ever? I think a chinny Lewis beats him, a prime Fury also beats him. Maybe 22 year old Mike Tyson.

Ali’s first and third fights with Frazier, his epic victory over absolute monsters Foreman and his spotless dominance of Liston, his sublime victories over Cleveland Williams and his epic comeback against real bamf fighters, the guy was absolutely incredible

Peak Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, Vitali, and Fury – all tough fights IMO.
But nobody is unbeatable.

I think Louis could beat Fury, but it’s really not who could beat who. In many ways, Fury is who he is because of the roads Louis paved before him. If it was about who could beat who guys like Ike Ibeabuchi would be much higher on the list. To me pfp is about what meaningful fights they won and what adversity they overcome. Honestly, no one ever won a more high stakes fight than Louis did vs Schmelling
At one point in time, Ali was 55-2 with his 2 losses being a Unanimous Decision Loss to Smoking Joe Frazier and a Split Decision Loss to Ken Norton (both whom he would later beat). If he’s not the Greatest of All-Time, he’s up there …
