Was anybody actually better than Khabib?

He will probably have to Google it. Hey NDA I have a test for you, I want you to list ALL the LW champs without using the internet, 100% off memory.

Iā€™m sure Iā€™m missing someone between Pulver and Penn

Lol at including the interims and also lol at purposely leaving out Sherk so people believe you didnā€™t google it

I just look it up. I missed the muscle shark. I thought there was another one too between Penn and Pulver but nope. So I only missed one thatā€™s pretty good

Funny that when I just looked up the list it does indeed feature the interim champions too

I donā€™t count interim titles either , but Tony gets a pass as he is a deserving full champion in my view, and around that time he was unstoppable and would have beaten Khabib.

But we all know how that played out

At the end of the day the ultimate answer to this thread title is Yes. Bj Penn.

He obviously dropped off and went to shit but in his prime he was better than Khabib. Flying knee koā€™s, brutal beatings, finishes left and right, finished the most dominant welterweight champ of all time, accomplished things Khabib never even tried.

Bj fought for too long. If he quit in his prime like khabib did his record have had like 10 less losses and would still include wins over way more top guys than Khabibs and would still include the welterweight championship.

end of discussion.

of course jack and nda will reply with some more troll bullshit but they are wwe fans who started watching mma 2 years ago when Khabib was champ

Well there have only been 12 champs lol. And you have 14 while missing one. Close tho!

You shouldnā€™t because they donā€™t count. There is a reason why there is the word interim in front of it.
Its a placeholder. It literally only exists so the UFC could sell more title fights.

I do (in my head, but obviously not officially) only because of the yrs Khabib ran from him.

Any version of tony up until 2020, beats Khabib

I meant not counting the interim champion.

Thereā€™s no way anyone actually believes a guy who got subbed by Bobby Green has anything for Khabib :face_with_hand_over_mouth: Prime or slightly past it is irrelevant when it comes grappling at that much of a lower level than Khabib.

Interim or not, modern era LW killers like Gaethje, Poirier, or RDA would kill BJ. Hell Barboza would probably knock him out.

Weā€™re talking about a .500 fighter who was FW Edgars plaything.

How old was BJ at that point in his career? Iā€™d ask the hypothetical about how Khabib wouldā€™ve looked at that age against that version of Frankie, but weā€™ll never know because Khabib cut and ran.

Lol at interim champions
