Was Piper's coconut smash on Snuka legit?

I have heard that a coconut is similar to a human skull in its density. That is why kung fu masters used it as a test of punching power-if you could break a coconut with a punch, you could kill a man with the same strike.

Snuka later had some mental issues and lost a civil suit in a wrongful death case. Could it be related to Piper's unprovoked attack?

I came here to chew bubble gum and smash coconuts, and I'm all out of bubble gum.

9 1/2 weeks gone wrong... lol

I was heartbroken to see Snuka owned like that. Rowdy was the biggest piece of shit in my opinion after that.  It looked like the coconut was real and it really exploded on his face.

That was the hardcore WWF back then Phone Post 3.0

All BS aside, what made you think of this? I barely remember Pipers Pit, much less any specific act of retardation that happened on it. lol

The coconut was probably pre-cut and lightly held together with glue.

Heard an old interview with O&A where Opie;in the guise of making a joke; essentially accuses Snuka of being a drug addict and murderer.

Cool. I was just wondering what chain of events triggers the creation of a OG thread about a 30 year old pro wrestling side story.
