Watched “Looper” for the first time

I really enjoyed it.

Spoiler questions.....

Why were there two versions of his older self at the drop zone? One time he shot him, and another time he didn’t.

I assume that’s some sort of paradox, but I don’t get it. Does it have something to do with him saving the kid?

The funniest part is the cover/movie poster.

They're supposed to be the same guy but one is right handed and one is left handed.

Maybe he hurt his hand somewhere along the way.

Which reminds me... that one looper who ran... It was hard watching him get messed up from his past torture. YIKES!!!

The looping made no actual sense... it wasn't done well.

Good movie but I just didn't like it.

He's been blasting versions of himself for years.

Multiple paths, multiple versions of yourself.

That's part of the deal: you don't take the bag off of his head because you do the job and you don't want to know.

The first version, the one he shot, was the beginning of his life that would lead him to China, becoming a prominent gangster, and meeting the Chinese woman he loved. When that version of him was sent back, it was the 2nd version, where he didn't shoot, and began the events that lead to him meeting the hot blonde and The Rainmaker.
