Weidman beat Anderson Silva the same way Weidman beat Uriah Hall. Both Silva and Hall rely on crazy head movement with their hands kept low, and in both instances Weidman just kept up the pursuit. Of course, Silva did the head movement thing to the extreme, but it was essentially the same thing.
Clearly, when Dana and Lorenzo decided on how Silva was going to throw the fight, they watched some of Weidman's old fights and were inspired.

also i think weidman took uriah down once and got stuffed as well...
