Affliction Blackbelt - The way some people post its almost like they were the ones who ate the shot from weidman and their brains still haven't recovered.
Its JON FREAKING' JONES. He would stomp Weidman just like he stomps anyone else at 205 and below. Weidman would be one of the better fighters he's faced, but at the end of the day Jones is just Jones. He is the KING @ 205. Never been in trouble and consistently finishes.
Apart from when Vitor was hanging off his arm.
....what happened after he shook Vitor off of his arm? He proceed to beat the shit out him with it.
CRE - Weidman isn't in his prime yet, neither is Jones scarily enough.
Both fighters need more time to develop and be tested before this fight can be made properly.
I would remain open to the possibility that Weidman could win this fight if he was more seasoned, but he's still a bit raw and almost a prospect still, a prospect so good that he just knocked Anderson Silva out..
I would like to see it, but not anytime soon.
If Weidman can dispose of Anderson Silva in the rematch, the MW division becomes very interesting due to new matchups and in the last few years it has been kind of bland.
It would be nice to see Weidman get a chance to reign as Champion first at 185.
Also it makes more sense for Jon Jones to go up in weight first before someone else goes up in weight to face him, because Jones is that dominant.
Quickly. It will be the schooling that Silva didn't bother finishing. How do people even think this is close? He won a dodgey MW fight against someone who wasn't trying. All of a sudden it's time for him to go at other champs? Tards here.
Go defend your tin belt at MW and after a few close, unappealing fights against former Spider challengers, you can end the superfight babble and accept that you aren't one of the dominant champs. If you don't get blown up by the likes of Bisping or Belfort before then.
Silva got schooled in the first round and knocked the fuck out in the 2nd. The guy is good but not on Weidmans level. Weidman jumped in and out of his guard like Anderson was in his first day of BJJ class
