Weidman's leg is still not right!

Man injuries like that can have so many complications. Look at Alex Smith. Dude ended up having like 17 different surgeries and all kinds of infections

PT probably takes a lot longer when your dad constantly barges in and screams “THATS MY BOY!!”

I did a compound fracture of my tib/fib and tore both ACLs back in 2002. Took me 7 surgeries and over two years to get back to “normal”. He’s in for a long recovery.

I don’t even like him and I feel sorry for him. That really sucks and I can’t imagine how low he is mentally.

I seriously feel for him, and hope it doesn’t set him back too much more.
I wonder if he pushed himself to hard trying to walk and going to the gym.

That might be a safe assumption given his work ethic and motivation

I like the guy and hope the best for him.

It seemed like he was being cautious but it’s definitely possible. That video where he’s essentially lightly hitting pads while stationary was like 7 weeks out I think. Chris does seem like the type of guy who would have trouble accepting his injury though.

He should just use some steroids and heal more quickly, if he isnt already on something

He’s lucky he’s not a horse. Ref would’ve put him down right there.

That’s rough. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Ya people think you are good as new after injuries. You are never the same. Maybe almost as good and you learn to work around it but never the same. I recovered from a broken femur have a rod from hip to knee and I’m almost as good but never the same.

Yeah, I have a plate and a pin in my ankle and it has always been in my head. I still feel a bit of soreness before it rains when the barometer drops, which is weird. I can’t relate to getting into a cage in the first place but doing it after one of those injuries is unfathomable. How was Struve able to come back after seeing his jaw broke in half in the X ray?

Im just gonna point out the elephant in the room here, he may well need amputation if this gets any worse. He did say this himself. Feel so awful for the guy, wish him a full recovery, but i really dont see him returning to fighting. Very sad.

That absolutely sucks. Wow

Why so melodramatic?

He said a bone they left wasn’t healing so they’re adding a plate.

He’s not talking about crazy infection or blood vessel damage that could potentially lead to something like an amputation.

Hopefully he’ll be just fine.

He did say this himself in his interview with Helwani, theres a possibility of amputation if the blood vessels /nerves dont heal up. Im not being dramatic, if it doesnt heal right and he keeps needing multiple surgeries to correct, as someone else mentioned, the chance of infection goes up, which, at the worst, could end up in amputation. Its a horrible thought and i pray for his recovery, but it is what it is.
