I know he was waiting for the first Silva fight to be done with before signing a new contract. It seemed to get done pretty fast with the rematch already announced. Has anyone heard the particulars about his contract....how many fights?
He wasn't waiting for anything Dana white already said he's in contract and wasn't holding out for a better deal like the rumor going around 
I thought Dana said he'd never let someone fight for a championship if it was the last fight on their contract. He didn't want them running off to another org.

Thanks for clearing it up. Everything I heard leading up to the fight was that Weidman was holding out until after the fight to renew his deal.
