I posted this question on the Wrestling forum as well but I wanted to see what you guys would advise. My son is 10 yrs old and just started wrestling 6 weeks ago. He loves it and wants to start lifting. Now I've got a good powerlifting background but I want to know if the basic bench, squat, and deadlift are good enough for now or do wrestlers focus on other lifts to assist them in strength training?
i would start him with regular pushup,chin ups, body weight squats and situps, since he is so young. They will do awesome for him in wrestling
