He was actually holding his own with Overeem and then he gets scared, gameplan goes out the window, and he resorts to shooting a bunch of telegraphed takedowns.

Werdum is certainly not endearing himself to his new Zuffa overlords. I'd say his chances of making the jump back the UFC just dropped to zero. All that goodwill he earned by breaking Fedor's unbeaten streak just flew out the window.
This might be the biggest egg I have seen a main event fighter lay since Anderson in Abu Dhabi. This might even be worse than that. At least Anderson's performance at 112 was interesting for a couple of rounds.
