Werdum Flopping

I get that he is trying to pull guard, and that it is a valid technique. But considering the amount of time he has spent trying to lure people into his guard in his past few fights, I would be surprised if he got the nod for a title shot anytime soon.

He kicked Nelson's ass and flopped once nearly Got an ARMBAR. He was active so who cares.

He clearly won the fight. I just think that it's ridiculous how fast he is to go to his back to try and pull guard. His stand up looked great, and he's clearly got the size and reach advantage over a lot of the heavyweights.

And yes, he was active, and then when Roy got up, he did the same thing he did against Overeem: kick at the knees, scoot back, repeat.

By doing that in every fight, he is negating a huge advantage, in that people will expect that from him. Using the same exact strategy in every fight is to his detriment.

Not taking anything away from a well deserved win, I'm just stating that I think he is too quick to flop.

He's obviously not a coward and it doesn't look good from a judges viewpoint so I'm not sure why he does it. Phone Post

He does it to avoid taking multiple strikes to the head. Not any different than wrestlers who shoot from far away and flop to their knees to avoid getting their head punted off their shoulders.
