Chris,I have heard people discuss the Half Guard in MMA,as a transition only position,or a very good position,ala Minotauro,What is your take on it?

I think it is a pretty good position. I prefer the butterfly half over regular half though. There are some great sweeps and escapes from there.
It's when you have the half guard but your legs aren't locked - your outside foot is hooked under his thigh like when you do an elevator sweep.
