Just a stick (picture something similar to deodorant sticks) that you rub on your face to get the shaving cream on there. You then use a brush to build up the lather
I need to figure something out... I'm getting razor burn like a mother fucker and that coupled with sweating from working out is wreaking havoc on my skin. Starting to piss me right the fuck off.

There's a learning curve to shaving properly and with the right gear. I went through all that shit. But man, wet shaving with the right goods will change your life, well, at least with regard to skin health and razor burn. What do you shave with?

cheap disposables... Maybe I should switch back to Harry's...??? I didn't have this problem before.

Well yes, if it was better with Harry's, switch back. But I would most definitely invest in a good quality safety razor, which will last you a lifetime. Plus even high quality razor blades can be bought for pennies on the dollars. That, coupled with great soaps, pre and post shaves, and correct angles based on your grain, you will be a new man, and save a load of money over the years!
I have a couple. Speick is also on top of my list. Charles from QED used to make them. I keep one of those at my GF's place. I used to buy a lot of the English creams as I loved the scents but realized soaps give me the best shave with the least amount of irritation on my neck. Going through a bit of a spell myself. I never use the same soap twice in a row, have lowered the setting on my Merkur Futur with Feather blades.
Thanks for repsonding! Bro you are brave. When I first got my Futur I put it on 3, and nearly shaved my face off. Now I always keep it on it's lowest setting, and still get a great shave. But at the end of the day, I think I still prefer my Merkur 34c. I want to really love my Futur, but I'm not there yet. Am looking into a Muhle r41; hear it agressive but very effiecient.
My Derby stick arrived and is now in the mix! Performed well, really similar to Arko in all respects, just less lemon in it's scent. I really liked it, and recommend.
