What do you guys use to help you sleep?

I've been using booze to help me sleep for years now.  I have quit, but now I can't sleep!  Even taking like 10 benedryls.  I literally don't even get tired.  Anything that is magic that I can use to help me sleep?  This sucks.

Also 5-htp or something like that, L-th-something.  Just don't seem to help.

Probably effects people different but 2-3 pills of melatonin will put me the fuck out like 30 mins later even after a late night gym session.

 

Funny because it's mainly suppose to just help you sleep better but for me it makes me sleepy as hell.  But yeah it's one of those things where peoples brain chemistry works different ... bro science lol

There's some Wal-Mart brand stuff that's just labeled "Sleep Aid." It's like $.88 for 24 little capsules. I have no idea what's in it, but 2-4 puts me to sleep within an hour and it's the only time I can get 6 hours of sleep without interruption.

Be careful about combining it with booze though. The last time I took them after a few drinks I ended up sleeping for 12 straight and felt like shit for a day afterwards.

I find Valerian root capsulse work pretty good. Two capsule really help me drop off. Good job kicking the booze. Thats a slow poison man.

Valium works lol, had a buddy give me a couple one time and they helped my insomnia.  Never tried them again I'm a pussy when it comes to pills after all the addiction stories but they worked .

I don't really need anything, usually.
