Can we interpret it as a subliminal message to the public that GSP is too small for a superfight against Anderson Silva? I don't actually think GSP would move down to lightweight. I think Firas is just trying to stress the fact that GSP is a small enough welterweight that he can even move down - hence the idea of moving up to MW seems ludicrous.

I wouldn't blame people if they favored BJ Penn at Lightweight. GSP's key to victory was overwhelming BJ with strength and grinding him down with wrestling...all of which are less pronounced at lightweight. I expect a competitive fight either way.
